✓ If it is very hot with lots of direct sunlight. You may wish to bring a long sleeve shirt as extra sun protection. We provide large umbrellas which can also be used as protection from the sun as well as the rain.
✓ We are plastic free. Please bring a reusable water bottle as we have chilled filtered water stations.
✓ If it rains, we provide wellies in all sizes – please remember to bring a pair of socks!
✓ If you do not wish to wear wellies, please wear closed-toe shoes or trainers as we walk throughout the sanctuary and it can be muddy especially if we have had heavy rains.
✓ Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting sweaty or muddy.
✓ Please be mindful of the local Thai culture and wear clothing that is suitable for the forest not the beach. No bikinis, low cut tops, or cheeky shorts are allowed.
Arrive at Tree Tops and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and snacks. You can enjoy a full morning or afternoon in the presence of our beautiful elephants.
We begin with a presentation about our project and our work to protect elephants, and also important safety rules. You will enjoy an up-close encounter to feed the elephants.
We then stroll throughout the sanctuary observing and learning about the elephants as they go about their day. Relax in our Look Outs as the elephants graze or bathe nearby, unaware of your presence.
There are lots of fabulous photo opportunities and plenty of time to thoroughly enjoy our peaceful nature reserve. Our experienced guides will be on hand to point out interesting behaviours by elephants and where to get the best shots. Your visit ends with a delicious vegetarian Thai buffet as the elephants graze and bathe in the background.
As you spend time with the elephants, there is also time to enjoy the many different species of butterflies and wild birds that thrive in our grounds, while our resident cats and dogs are always ready to welcome you as new friends around the reserve!
In the event of a tropical downpour, instead of staying inside, come and visit us! Elephants love playing in the rain and the muddy wallows that rain creates. We provide wellies and umbrellas, and guarantee a fun day out!
